Geometry starts earlier then we think!

Does anyone remember playing with blocks or legos as a child? Well according to the website http://www.aplaceofourown.org, they say that blocks can teach geometry, math, counting, and more. So if we are starting out that young, why not introduce basic concepts right away? IN preschool we all knew how to line up in a straight line, so why not teach the students the definition of a line since they already know what one looks like. There are basic terms that can be taught at a young age so that they are well known before tougher terms come along the next year. We need to teach our students a little at a time instead of all the terms and concepts at once, and expect them to memorize them all. There are many fun activities out there for young children to learn geometry. Let's start as early as possible so we can go more in-depth each year instead of reteaching the same thing year after year. Students need to learn at gradual steps, not giant leaps at once.
